10. Ezra and Rostam’s involvement in Richard Ayoade’s ‘Submarine’
There has been lots of questions on why Ezra and Rostam were listed on the credits of Richard Ayoade’s debut film, ‘Submarine’. If you are one of those who are wondering, well here’s the answer: Richard Ayoade directed Vampire Weekend’s Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa video (and ‘Oxford Comma’ which was hailed by GQ as one of the most stylish videos of all time) and he then asked Koenig, a keen amateur writer prior to forming Vampire Weekend and Rostam for feedback on early versions of the script. ‘Ezra’s a good writer so I wanted to get his opinion’, Ayoade says. ‘He was very nice about the script and he said he thought it was definitely worth pursuing.’
Rostam, CT and Ezra also attended the after party of the movie in NYC (as pictured above).
I would never stop smiling if a guy looked at me that way…
